"THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLE DAYS"..but isnt that subjective? Each generation, as we get older, feel the affects of our bodies slowing down in a world that is speeding up and we sometimes wish to get off the train and relax! We daydream back to the day of child like innocence and carefree days! Whatever era that was for you, it is special to YOU! That isn't a bad thing. Reflection is healthy, in my opinion. It's unhealthy when it becomes a stumbling block to living in the now, being the most you can be. When one's past is their only world then the future can't be held. I grew up in the 70s and graduated high school in the 80s. THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS for simplicity and irresponsibility. Now that I am an adult since the 90s, I view the world differently. I have chores, I have a job, I have a family who cares, I have money worries and health issues..but ya know what I also am more relaxed about things and find myself saying "it is what it is" and "oh well" a lot. Is that a sign of maturity or is that a sign that I'm tired of fighting the battles in life? Life is good, carpe diem as they say! Each day that God gives me is a gift, I'll take whatever is in front of me and be thankful! If I could pick an era though, I would like the "prairie days". I just love looking at primitive items. I love reading stories about LITTLE HOUSE IN THE PRAIRIE and watching shows that show me RANCH LIFE, like
http://www.thepioneerwoman.com/. Here are some pics of primitive that I enjoy! Take care, stay blessed and luv, hugs and peace!!
